“Reality Wonderland” upcoming art exhibition

Upcoming Exhibition in Dublin this August

Upcoming Exhibition in Dublin this August

We’ve heard great news that Ali’s sister and friends are preparing an exhibition of thier work in Dublin, and would love it if anyone interested would pop along. The description of their exhibition is below, and some images of their work above 😀

‘Through our “reality wonderland”, fantasical notions may creep out between the cracks in the inter relationship between fiction and reality. By suspending disbelief we allow our imagination to deconstruct and reconstruct the world around us.

The show will aim to provide a dialogue between artists, not through collaboration, but through play, film, theatrics and sense of adventure and make-believe. We would like to create a world that allows the viewer to escape from the everyday or perhaps as a space where the viewer may see the everyday in new and uncanny ways. Featuring work from emerging artists Niamh Dunphy, Laura Carey, Aoife Ryan and Emma Turpin.

The artists have featured in various exhibtions internationally in Reykjavik, Iceland; Berlin, Germany; China and Tokyo, Japan as well as in The Cross Gallery, The Ashford Gallery,RHA, Studio 12, IMMA, and The Lab in Dublin.’

For further information contact Laura Carey, carey.lk@gmail.com or Emma Turpin, eturpin@gmail.com

Opening night, Thursday 14th August.
